You know that feeling when you’re at a concert of a band or artist you love, and everyone is
singing the songs together, and for the first time in forever everyone around you is totally on
the same page? That’s what is going to happen this Saturday night at the 6th Annual Concert in
the Country.

The event is set on Show Sports Farm, a beautiful horse farm that is transitioned into a full blow
concert venue for one weekend a year every October. The atmosphere and community you feel
while being at the show can’t even be put into words. Even in the parking lot you will meet
some of the most interesting people you’ve ever met.

Gates open at 3PM and music starts at 3:30PM. The concert will feature a flyover just after the
National Anthem at sundown around 6:10PM. At around 7:20PM, 2,500 plus people will sing
along to God Bless the U.S.A. with a military video tribute that will send chills down your spine,
followed by a presentation to honor 5 American heroes on stage. What makes this event the
most special is the cause behind it, Boots For Troops. There is not a more meaningful time of
the year than right now, to support the programs Boots For Troops offers. Just this holiday
season the organization plans to send 300+ custom care packages to American troops serving
around the world. Boots For Troops will also purchase flights for service members E-4 to travel
home to their hometowns for the holidays. This event helps fund the organization through the
holidays and into the new year.

Jimmy Rogers, U.S. Navy Veteran and President of the committee for Concert in the Country
had this to say. “If you live in Tomball, Magnolia, Spring, Conroe, Cypress, or any surrounding
areas, it really is a BIG deal what is happening Saturday night. The impact Boots For Troops is
making around the world cannot be truly expressed in words, you just have to experience it.
You must read the letters back from our troops, help pack a box or just get hands on. This is a
big country we live in. This community is making an enormous impact around the world and it’s
all starting right here. In years past people have screamed, cheered, laughed, and cried at this
concert. Come be a part of it because it will change your life. I don’t mean that in some sort of
cliche way, I’m very serious”

This year two-time Grammy nominated artist Pat Green is coming to headline. He will also be
joined by Jake Worthington, Bonnie Bishop, Chad Prather and the Ragamuffins and Daniel
Holmes. There will be food trucks, a BBQ cook-off, vendors, live podcast recordings and more.
The event is family friendly. Boots For Troops hopes to have your support this Saturday night.
