Dear Supporters,

Another successful Concert in the Country is in the books. Earlier this month on October 5h, 2019  more than 2,000 of you showed up to support Boots For Troops at the 4th annual event. Tracy Lawrence, Josh Ward and the rest of the entertainment put on a great show. Because of your generosity, and all the help of our amazing sponsors we set a record for the most money raised at a Boots For Troops event in our short history. Congratulations to the entire community for helping raise $110,000!

Concert in the Country exemplifies what America is about. A large group of patrons come together, and everyone plays a different role.  However, the same large group of people have a common goal as well. That goal is to complete a successful event that raises money to help support our deployed troops. Each year we have accomplished that goal as a team and as a community.

Boots For Troops and this event, have really changed my perspective on giving back. I tell people often; in my young life I have been lucky to have experienced some awesome things. As Jake Worthington would say, I’ve done a lot of living in a little bit of time. I have felt many emotions, but still the best feeling I’ve ever felt and continue to feel is when I get to read a testimonial from a deployed troop whose Boots For Troops care package positively impacted their life.  How they felt so appreciated and it helped them get through a week, or a day while they missed their family. There is no better feeling in the world then helping someone who needs your help. All our service members need the support of the American people, especially when they are deployed. What we were able to accomplish is going to mean the world to these service men and women. My perspective is everyone should try to help and give back in their own way. If we all find ways to help each other it will make the world a better place.

I have a lot of people to thank on behalf of the organization and myself. First a special thank you to our title sponsors, Planet Ford Humble, TX, and Moffitt Services. Additionally, I want to extend an additional thank you to all the other sponsors listed below. Let me be clear, we cannot succeed without the help of these amazing business in our community.

  • Patterson Equipment
  • Cavender’s
  • Hawk Technical Services
  • J-Dog Junk Removal
  • Heritage Sanitation
  • Serve Pro
  • Houston Barricades
  • United Rentals
  • Captain Brads
  • G&C Hydraulics
  • The Home Depot
  • Advance Auto Parts
  • The Peterson Agency
  • Tire and Wheel Connection
  • Torque Right
  • U.S. Patriot Tactical
  • Bud Light
  • Tito’s Vodka

I also want to say thank you to every single committee member. This group of people work for about six months to help plan and execute a first-class event that our entire community can enjoy. These people are extremely important in making the event happen and Boots For Troops cannot do it without their help. Thank you to all the volunteers who come out and do exactly what we ask of them. When I stop and think about it, I really get emotional. These people literally give their time and ask for nothing in return. I cannot tell them enough how much the organization appreciates their commitment. Importantly, I want to say thank you to the owners of Show Sports Farm. Shane and Chris George, who have generously opened their beautiful horse farm for 4 years to host this event that we have all come to love. Without their commitment and love for the cause this event also would not be possible.

If you want to get more involved with Boots For Troops for this event please feel free to send us an e-mail at info@boots4troops.com. We are always looking for motivated individuals to join our concert committee. Thank you again to everyone. Look forward to announcing details for next year in a few months. Take care of yourself and each other.

Sincerely,

Jimmy Rogers
